Ganesh Chaturthi is the beginning of festival season, which has also brought with it the fear of losing weight. These festive months were my favorite as a child. We would have the best Indian sweets and treats. However, these same months are now nightmares for me as a woman who is going through menopause. It’s a horrible feeling to see all the sweet treats around you and not be able to choose one. It’s not fun to be a heavy woman growing up. This year, I came up with a new trick that works. These days, I’m genuinely doing “Window Eating”.

It works because you can eat all your meals within a set time window, which is usually between 12 noon and 7 or 8 p.m. You are missing out on breakfast if you don’t eat enough.

You can eat your first meal at noon, then eat smaller meals until 8 pm.
