McDowell’s No.1 Diet Mate Whiskey Review

Winters aren’t winters without alcohol. When it was snowing outside, our parents would give us Brandy to keep us warm at night. I can recall as a child when Brandy helped me keep my children warm when we were in Jammu & Kashmir. We have to be open and honest about the fact that alcohol has become an increasingly common part of social life. It is interesting to me that people who are trying to lose weight (read: women) find it confusing to attend such events. They want to have a few drinks but think about how many calories they will consume. Alcohol is high in calories and carbohydrates so it is a no-no for those with weight control goals.

Vodka is the best low-carb option for me, even though I was following a strict diet. A Breezer was all I needed to keep me full for the day. One Breezer contained 13-25 gm carbs per 275ml bottle. !

We are all looking forward to a warm moment with a glass of wine, as the new year approaches. Today I will help those who love alcohol to lose weight. McDowell’s No.1 Distillery Whisky was found on vacation by my husband. He said it was OK for a dieter despite all my attempts to explain the differences between low-calorie and low-carb dieters and that I follow a low carb diet.

We had previously reviewed Diet Coke Zero and Coke Zero in this space. Now it’s time to review diet whisky. McDowell’s No.1 Distillate Mate is now available from the UB Group’s spirit division. This is the first domestic diet whisky. Recently, I tried Mc Dowell’s No.1 Distilled Mate Whisky. I have to be honest that I don’t like Whisky. Vodka and lemon-flavored Rum are just as good as Whisky. Whisky isn’t my thing. I hate the feeling of having a hangover that spoils my day. But Mc Dowell’s No.1 Distilled Mate Whisky saved my day. My husband said that it wasn’t enough to give me a hangover, but I know that the Whisky’s name is sufficient to give me one.

What’s so special about it?

McDowell’s No.1 Diet Mate Whiskey Review

The company launched a diet whisky to meet a key consumer need. It also added excitement to the whisky market. Young consumers today seek variety and excitement across a range of brands. They are most concerned that excessive drinking can lead to obesity and weight gain. Diet whisky is an excellent solution to this concern.

Mc Dowell’s No.1 Diet Mate Whisky blends the best Scotch with it. You can also get some health benefits from the GARCINIA extract. Diet whisky will give you all the benefits of a reserve whisky but with added health benefits. Garcina is an ancient Indian herb that is gaining popularity in western countries, including America, Japan, and Europe. Garcinia is believed to be able to reduce excess fat and lower cholesterol levels. Garcinia can be used as a diet aid, along with exercise and a balanced diet.

Taste

There is no discernible difference in taste between Mc Dowell’s No.1 Distilled Mate Whisky and any other Whisky. It is sure to have the smoothness of any great Whisky on the market.

Myth busted

Diet Mate contains Garcinia, which increases metabolism. However, it doesn’t make it a diet whisky. If you drink more than you need, you may gain weight.

My verdict

Although my verdict is still to come, I wanted to share these photos of Diet Mate Whisky’s advertisements. Enjoy…

These advts are adorable. Aren’t these photos adorable? They were adorable and I had a great time looking at them.

Let’s now get to the product.

This product is advertised as a “dieter’s delight” so I expected to see nutrition data on the packaging. However, I couldn’t find any information on Diet Mate’s calorie count on either the packaging or the sites that were promoting it. So can I believe Mc Dowell’s No.1 Diet Mate Whisky’s claim that it’s a low-calorie product? It’s not a normal Whisky. There is nothing to it that I believe will make it a diet whisky.

Are diabetics safe? It is not clear. There is nothing there. I’m going to give this Whisky a thumbs-down for not being transparent about the nutrition data. Is there any other speciality in this Whisky whisky?

Does it make sense to pay more for this so-called ‘Diet whiskey? Is there something else you can call this Whisky special? Hmm, well.. nope. That’s my personal opinion. Garcinia, or not garcinia… A whisky is a whiskey. Right?
