Drinks during Intermittent Fasting to Lose Weight
What works and what doesn’t?
Intermittent fasting (also known as IF) is a way to eat that’s low in carb and high in protein. It is known to be very beneficial for weight loss and health. My daughter is a huge fan of Intermittent Fasting and she continues to ask me about the best drinks for Intermittent Fasting.
If I have to answer a question, it will be that it all depends on what kind of fasting you are following. You can find information about different fasting and eating times here …. But one thing that is often a problem for people who follow any intermittent eating plan is what type of beverages they can consume during fasting. I’d like to discuss what beverages can be consumed while on Intermittent Fasting for weight reduction.
While there are many rules that people must follow when on an intermittent fasting diet, the most important rule is “Zero calories beverages”. Umm! This is kind of cruel, but it is the safest option as it avoids any drinks with calories during fasting. This statement states that IF is a good way to lose weight. It is best to avoid any carbs, sugars, or fats. Any of these foods can be harmful if you are fasting for weight loss. Intermittent fasting is used in order to lower insulin resistance and keep blood sugar under control. It has been shown that if one consumes too much liquid calories during fasting, it is useless.
Let’s find out which beverage is safe to consume during intermittent fasting.
Black coffee without sugar
One calorie-free, calorie-free option for fasting is black coffee without sugar. Do not add sugar, creamer, milk or any other sweeteners. Although black coffee is a zero-calorie drink, adding sugar or milk to it will increase its calories. You can add spices to black coffee if you find it difficult to drink it as it is.
Do not consume more than one cup of black coffee during the fasting period. Too much caffeine can cause anxiety, acidity, or jitters.
Black Tea
You can have black tea while fasting as it is calorie-free. It is best to brew it from tea leaves or bags. It is a big no to adding sugar, creamer or milk to bottled iced drinks. While you are in the eating window, it is acceptable to add honey, cream, milk, or creamers.
The good news about tea is that it has a lower caffeine content than coffee and can be consumed more than one cup during fasts.
Zero calorie soda
You are wrong to think that you can have those zero-calorie diet sodas while intermittent fasting is going on. Avoid those strange-tasting sodas that can make you crave sugar and food.
Research shows that diet sodas containing too many artificial sweeteners can increase food cravings and increase appetite.
lcohol
Really, were you thinking about it? No, you should never drink alcohol while doing IF. Alcohol is not only a great source of calories, but it can also kill you if you have an empty stomach. It doesn’t matter what name you give it, whether it is a cocktail or not, it will always be a bad choice.
Water
Intermittent fasting is possible with water. It is naturally calorie-free and is therefore the only answer to the question …… It is zero-calorie so you don’t have to worry about it. Are you having fun? You should, because there are many ways water can be consumed during fasting as a zero-calorie beverage.
You can make flavored water by adding a slice from your favorite fruit wedge to it. A bottle of flavored water can be made and kept for future use. It is a great choice for a weight loss diet. It is a great choice for a weight loss program.
That was my take. If you have any questions or additional ideas, please post them here ….. We are waiting for your comments.
