What is the Keto diet?

The ketogenic diet, also known as the keto diet, is a low-carb diet. This diet can help you lose weight quickly. This diet is good for weight loss because it keeps carbs low and increases protein and fat in the daily diet. Ketosis is a metabolic state where fat replaces carbohydrates as the primary source of energy. This can be achieved by eating a low-carb diet. Ketosis is when fat is converted to ketones, which are then metabolized in the liver. This leads to dramatic weight loss, decreased sugar levels, and other health benefits.

Referring to my own experience, I lost 40kg in less than a year. I maintained this weight for five years. However, I started introducing carbs into my diet as fat and seeds caused me heart palpitations. I felt hungry and had low energy levels after cutting down on fat. Although I had lost weight, I felt sick inside. My bones were weakened by lack of calcium, so I finally decided to eat a regular diet. Keto diet made my life happy, but it also brought me the worst health problems.

Ketogenic diet has one major drawback: it’s difficult for vegetarian Indian food lovers to maintain it.

To lose weight on the keto diet, you should limit your carb intake to 20%. Whole foods such as whole grains and vegetables should provide 20% of your carbohydrate intake. Let’s take a look at the foods you should eat when following a ketogenic diet.

Heart health and the Keto diet

Although the keto diet can be a great way to lose weight, it raises the question of whether it is good for your heart.

It is known to reduce inflammation and oxidative stress, which is beneficial for blood vessels and blood pressure control.

Diabetes can increase your risk of developing heart disease. This can be reduced by reducing sugar intake. The keto diet can reduce sugar levels and help to lower heart disease risk.

From personal experience, I can tell you that Indians find it difficult to adjust to the ketogenic diet and to maintain it over time. It can be difficult to adapt to too much fat and non-vegetarian food. It can be difficult for your body to return to a regular Indian diet once you have gotten used to it. It was impossible for me to sustain this diet as an Indian. I still feel problems with my heart when I consume flax seeds and coconut oil.

One reason could be that certain foods that are important to the keto diet are high-in saturated fats and cholesterol, such as fatty fish, eggs, and meat.

There is still much research to be done to show that the keto diet is safe for people with sensitive hearts and heart conditions. It has also been shown to increase the risk of hypoglycemia in diabetics in certain cases. Supplements that aren’t added to keto diet can cause nutritional deficiencies. I am the best example of this.

If you are considering a keto diet, I recommend that you consult your doctor. A cardiologist is recommended for anyone with a history of heart disease. After my own life experiences, I believe that a sustainable diet is the best. If you are unable to lose weight quickly for medical reasons, extreme diets like the keto diet plan should not be followed.
