Many women are closet eaters, and I was one of them. Please don’t think I am being judgmental for using the term in relation to women. I know from personal experience that diet can affect mood, especially if we try to lose weight by following the best Indian diet plan. When I feel down, the only thing that makes me feel better is chocolate, cookies, or sugar in any form. It lifts my mood, but later hours of regret are more devastating.

It is a common misconception that eating healthy, well-defined food will help you lose weight. However, it does not take into account the benefits to your mental health.

Are mood and food related?The simple answer is yes. The connection between food and emotions is deeply rooted in our brains and our digestive tract. There are billions of bacteria living in our GI tract, influencing neurotransmitters and chemical substances like dopamine or serotonin.

You can substitute white rice kheer with brown rice or dates pudding. It’s possible to do this in many different ways.
